Our people case study - Myles Gardner
Myles joined Livin Works in September 2023 after graduating from University Technology College in Newton Aycliffe. Throughout his academic journey, Myles had shown a keen interest in the field of joinery and 'hands-on' studies.
He was eager to put his skills to use and make a meaningful impact on tenants within our communities. With a sharp eye for detail and a creative approach to problem-solving, he quickly became an invaluable member of the team. His dedication to his work and willingness to learn has meant he's excelled through his joinery apprenticeship.
"I always prioritised having a skill that would be valuable throughout my career when I was considering leaving school. I found that an apprenticeship provided me with the best opportunity to study while I learned, as I'm able to attend New College Durham for one day of my working week. I'm excited to continue my education and move onto my level 3."
