Paul Chester, from Shildon is one of the first tenants to access our 'Livin Life Online' digital support programme, delivered in partnership with Digital Unite.
The programme launched during Good Things Foundation 'Get Online Week' and offers a wide range of personalised support from learning how to use our website and My Livin app, to online banking and setting up, sending and receiving emails.
Paul accessed the free programme whilst receiving wider work and training support from our Livin Futures team. He can now navigate and search job websites, email his CV, complete online applications, and manage his tenancy through our My Livin app.
A personalised plan was developed by one of our digital champions, Lisa Newham, who met with Paul prior to the launch to discuss his individual needs to get him safely online.
Lisa Newham, digital champion said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to help Paul during this period of uncertainty. Applying for jobs is predominantly online these days, which can be daunting for some people. Being a digital champion helps me to identify when I think someone could use additional support from Livin Life Online".
Paul Chester Livin tenant, said: "I would just like to thank Livin for the support they have given me since being made redundant. Lisa helped me with my redundancy claim, my CV and helped me get online so I could search for jobs. The team is continuing to stay in contact with me and I appreciate that."
