Laundry business to launch new booking system after bursary success

Lauren Naisbitt, Newton Aycliffe is taking her business online thanks to funding from the Northern Housing Consortium Unlocking Success Bursary.

Lauren founded Laundry and Co. after she identified a gap in the market for laundry and ironing services in her local community. Having previously worked in the tourism industry she was unable to return to her role due to family commitments.

Supported by our Livin Futures team she was able to successfully apply for a £500 bursary to fund an online booking system making it quick and easy for clients to access her services while saving her time reading emails and messages to plan her workload.

Lauren Naisbitt, said: "This is going to save me so much time in the evenings going through messages and it means people can book in and arrange collection and return times so much easier. This will free up so much time for me to spend with my daughter and focus on marketing and promotion to bring more custom to the business and hopefully just keep expanding."

Louise Miller, Livin Futures Adviser, said: "It was great to support Lauren with her NHC bursary. Lauren is determined to make her business grow with her new booking system and support her family by doing so".
